Roger Peacock, Sales Director at Concentrix, will be running the London Marathon in April 2011. It’s his first marathon and he’ll be raising money for an extremely good cause. If you would like to sponsor Roger, please follow the links below, and if you would like more details of why he’s putting himself through a gruelling training regime and pushing his body to the limit next April, here’s a message from Roger:
As you may know, my Daughter Lois suffers from a rare condition known as Niemann-Pick Type C. This means that she is now confined to a wheel chair and requires constant specialist help, care and support. One of the organisations that provides Lois with support is Rainbows Children's Hospice in Loughborough. They are a wonderful organisation without whom the lives of many children and their families would be significantly more difficult.
Rainbows have helped us no end with support and respite care for Lois and is invaluable in allowing us a chance to get a break away from the everyday caring and spend some time together with our son Luke. It is for this reason I would like to give something back…….
In April 2011, I'll be running (yes, running!) the London Marathon to raise money to help Rainbows in their fundraising. As you’ll know this is not something I've ever done before (previous best efforts are the dash from Sofa to Fridge and back), I’m therefore looking for as much support as possible.
So what am I after? Well cash and support essentially. Your support will greatly assist with the motivation needed for my training and your cash will go to help Rainbows continue to support families with caring for young children in very difficult times. So please help where you can with support for Rainbows and motivation for me by sponsoring at http://www.justgiving.com/Roger-Peacock. Please also feel free to pass this information or link on to anyone else you know.
Thanks for all your support!
